About Wood Floor Polish
Our Wood Floor Polish has been developed to meet the high standards expected of high-quality wooden flooring. Not only does the polish create a wonderful shine on all types of wooden floors, but it will also fill and disguise scratches helping to rejuvenate older wooden floors.
As well being able to restore the look to older floors, it also adds a protective finish to the wood. These protective properties will help the floor repel stains and spills and reduce the damaging effect of wear & tear in high traffic areas.
Its great for both lacquered and varnished wooden floors, but if you have an oiled wooden floor, you should use our Maintenance Oil.

Wood Floor Polish Instructions
Our Wood Floor Polish can be used to protect and maintain new flooring, and also used to restore older floors.
New Wooden Floors – these should be polished from day one, before anyone uses them. Our Wood Floor Polish will give the floor a protective finish (that doesn’t alter the look or feel of the wood) that will help to prevent wear & tear, and stains & spills.
Restoring Wooden Floors – The polish can also be used to restore older wooden floors too. It will fill in any micro scratches in the wood helping to even out and smooth the finish.
How to polish wood floors
Clean the floor first using the Wood Floor Cleaner and Microfibre Spray Mop, ensuring all dust and dirt has been removed.
Shake bottle well and squirt directly onto the floor. Using the Microfibre Mop (with a clean mop pad), spread the polish evenly and thinly across the floor wiping sideways against the grain. Apply very light fingertip pressure when doing this. Then wipe following the direction of the grain for a lovely smooth finish. The floor should have a wet look that shines when the polish is applied, but not so much that it puddles.
Work in small, manageable sections, before moving onto the next area. Leave to dry for 30 minutes before walking on the floor again. However, if you can, we recommend leaving the polish to dry overnight before any heavy use of the floor.
The finish does not need to be buffed or polished.
For maintenance, and to keep your wooden flooring looking great all year round, we recommend re-applying the Wood Floor Polish once every six months. For rooms less used, you can re-apply it once a year.

Wood Floor Polish – FAQ
Q. Is this product a wood floor wax polish?
A. No, wax polishes are good, but they will wear off quicker and not provide the same level of protection. Our polish is based on polyurethane technology so provides a much higher level of protection. If you want a waxed finish for your floor though, we recommend using our Wood Wax & Polish.
Q. Will it make my floor slippery?
A. No. It contains the right balance of ingredients to create a smooth finish on flooring, but not one that would ever make the floor slippery.
Q. Can it be used to polish a matt floor?
A. Yes. If the floor has a matt finish, applying our Wood Floor Polish will make the floor a little shinier than it currently is. However, the polish isn’t designed to produce a high shine, so the difference will not be huge.
Q. How often should you polish wood floors?
A. The polish has been designed to protect wooden floors for six months. This time will increase for lesser used rooms, but could be slightly reduced for very high use areas. Our advice is to re-apply the Wood Floor Polish when you see the floor starting to look dull again, or as a guide:
For rooms used daily – apply polish once every six months
For rooms less frequently used – apply polish once a year
Q. Can it be used on oiled floors?
A. It can, but for best rersults you should use our Maintenance Oil.
Q. Is it a hardwood floor polish?
A. Yes, it can be used to polish hardwood floors as well as all other types of wooden flooring.
